UMID — Hope for Central Asia | A ministry of Purpose Factory International

UMID — “hope” in Uzbek and Azerbaijani

One seed
in a hundred.

Across Central Asia and the Middle East, fewer than one person in a hundred is an evangelical Christian. UMID carries the gospel of Jesus Christ onto the platforms where 118 million of them already spend their days — and connects everyone who answers to believers on the ground.

One hundred seeds. Fewer than one is an evangelical Christian — and the pomegranate is the region’s own emblem of abundance.

Why we exist

A vision worth a generation.

Vision

Have the name of Jesus Christ become an unstoppable force in Central Asia and the Middle East.

Mission

Partnering with indigenous churches in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping them with evangelists and disciple makers.

The need

Among the least-reached places on earth.

For the first time in the history of Islam-dominated Central Asia, the gospel can travel on the same platforms where billions of people spend their time around the clock — past the geographic, political and social barriers that have held it back for centuries.

The Online Evangelism Model

Reach. Connect. Equip.

Every seeker follows the same path, and none of it ends on a screen. A post begins the conversation; a person continues it; a local church carries it on. Nobody is left as a number in a feed.

I.

Reach

Content made in the region’s own languages, with its own music, dress and imagery — and aimed at what people are actually carrying: purpose, family, suffering, forgiveness, hope.

  • Short videos, reels and shorts under a minute
  • Music videos and Bible verses set to Uzbek and Azerbaijani melodies
  • Hard topics handled with wisdom, never with aggression
  • A consistent publishing rhythm the audience can count on
II.

Connect

When someone comments, messages or fills in a form, a real person answers — usually the same day, and always in private. Online, a seeker can ask the questions they could never ask aloud.

  • Direct messages on Instagram, Facebook and Telegram
  • Comments answered individually, not with a template
  • Landing pages and smart links from ad campaigns
  • Anonymity and confidentiality where faith carries real risk
III.

Equip

Every seeker is entered into a secure CRM, followed up by name, prayed for, sent a Bible where possible, and handed to a host in a local congregation.

  • Disciple.Tools CRM — secure records and scheduled follow-up
  • Prayer, conversation and Bible delivery
  • Handover to a host in an indigenous church
  • Online counseling and discipleship that keeps going

What’s next

The Online Evangelism Academy.

Today UMID’s own staff run the whole model. The Academy hands it to everyone else — training indigenous believers and churches to reach their own neighbours, in their own language, without waiting for us.

Lessons run 10–20 minutes with a video, a workbook and homework. Students move at their own pace by web or Telegram bot, meet weekly over Zoom, and gather monthly in person to practise. The next lesson unlocks only when the last one is finished.

Help us launch it

Partner with us

Your gift is the difference between a post and a person.

UMID is not building an audience. It is finding the one seeker in a hundred, sitting with them, and walking them to a church that will still be there in ten years. That work is carried by people, and people are funded by partners.

Content production

Scripts, filming, editing, music and translation — the culturally rooted content that opens the conversation, plus the advertising that puts it in front of people who are searching.

Connect leaders

The staff who answer every message and comment personally, follow up week after week, pray with seekers, deliver Bibles, and make the introduction to a local church.

The Academy

Curriculum, video lessons, workbooks and the training platform that will let indigenous churches run this model themselves — and multiply it far beyond our staff.

UMID is the faith-based ministry of Purpose Factory International, a Texas nonprofit corporation. For the security of believers and seekers in the field, staff names and locations are shared privately with partners.
